Everyone going south early this year?

I'm down in Florida and I am seeing WAY more MH's pulling in and already down here compared to the same time last year.

Everyone leaving early to head South this year?

Do you'all have inside info on an early winter coming?! :B

  • I totally agree about staying north for the weather. In fact, there are some folks that I hope will learn to love snow.

Many of my Single friends are already talking about heading south as they miss the dancing and social life here in RGV (Rio Grande Valley of Texas). They will begin arriving after Labor Day. They may not like the heat, but there is much more to do with more people to do it with in the RGV.
  • Florida in August...... no thanks, Michigan is wonderful in September and October with cool nights and the wonder of fall.
  • Nope, if anything we'll be leaving a month later then usual.

With climate change (or whatever you want to call it) fall weather has been beautiful up north. Why rush down into hot and humid.

Just wondering, those MH's what are their plates saying for home states?
  • Here in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, we have seen a few early birds too. The reason is unusually cool and wet weather in the area of Colorado where they spend their Summers.
  • That's wild. Nothing like August in Florida...other than August in south Georgia.
  • The students came back to Penn State last weekend, and all of a sudden there's a line out the doors of our favorite restaurants, traffic is bumper to bumper, the police and ambulance sirens have blasted the tranquility of Happy Valley more in one weekend than all summer. Yes, especially since central Pennsylvania weather resembles Florida weather now, why not? It least we'll have another month or two of tranquility until the other snowbirds flock south.
