Just a couple of really nice campgrounds. No beach nor swimming but just nice: Davis Bayou, MS, which is a federal park, and Palmetto Island State Park, LA. Both peaceful and quiet when we were there last Oct.
Palmetto Island is near Avery Island home of the Tabasco Sauce with nice tours. Very enjoyable. At least we liked it.
