Far enough away.
Have never boondocked but may try it this winter. I know that boondockers don't like others to camp too close. What is considered too close? Thanks Nick

I hear lots of complaints about Gen noise. The vast majority of people who dry camp do not have elaberate solar systems and will need to run a gen from time to time. I have only been in a camp ground once in over 15 yers of dry camping. The forest and desert is a big place. I camp with a quite large group. At times we will have 5/6 big toyhaulers, travel trailers, truck campers, MH's and tents. We all understand that at any given time someone will need 110v or the need to recharge the batteries. Some of us will usually stake our claim days ahead of a holiday weekend. If someone comes what we think may be too close we approach them and let them know what's gonna show up later and let them decide if they will be bothered. We were there first and that's it. But we do inform them of the happenings that are coming. One time there was 49 people including children. We split up cooking and fires into 3 groups and had a wonderful time. Don't remember the count on vehicles but we had quite a crowd.
