Far enough away.
Have never boondocked but may try it this winter. I know that boondockers don't like others to camp too close. What is considered too close? Thanks Nick

jefe .... outstanding high TC trip and photos of it. You and your buds are really pushing the envelope with your TCs.
However, you guys only went a little more than half-high. ;)
Here's the upper half of high -> no camping involved though: "The highest altitude ever reached by a car is 6,688m (21,942ft), up in the Andes. Chileans Gonzalo Bravo and Eduardo Canales took their 1986 Suzuki Samurai to the peak of a volcano in the Atacama region of Chile in April 2007."
