Favorite Eastern Seaboad and such destinations?

Looking to expand our camping experiences, What are you favorite destinations along the Eastern Seaboard and such? We have plans to visit DC, Niagara Falls, Williamsburg, Lake Placid, Bar Harbor. Also...

Surprised no one yet has mentioned the OBX - from the busier/touristy north end to the more relaxed middle and the more isolated southern Ocracoke Is.
