Favorite Eastern Seaboad and such destinations?

Looking to expand our camping experiences, What are you favorite destinations along the Eastern Seaboard and such? We have plans to visit DC, Niagara Falls, Williamsburg, Lake Placid, Bar Harbor. Also heading out to Yellowstone July 2017. I know some of these aren't Eastern Seaboard, but I hope you get the idea! What are your favorite out of the way places? Would love to hear about your favorites.

Lake Placid is one of our favorites. The KOA there is very nice and close to the attractions. If you go to Williamsburg I suggest staying at American Heritage. I would also suggest heading south along the seaboard to places like the Outer Banks, Charleston, and Savannah.

If you plan on crossing the border, the village of Alma, New Brunswick Canada is a nice place.
Stay at the Fundy National Park Headquarters campground. It's an easy walk from the CG to Alma. Going back is all uphill.
There's a nice view of Fundy Bay at the entrance to the CG.
