Since you haven't been, New England (particularly northern New England) is beautiful and wonderful. From Acadia and the surrounding areas, to the White Mountains, to the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and the Green Mountains...there's a lot to see and do.
The Canadian maritime provinces are also a good choice. Do pay attention to the proper border formalities and paperwork.
