It's worth a couple of nights if you take the ferry across Lake Jenny and do some hikes. Great scenery and lots of critters-moose, bears ect. I looked at the Moraine CG reviews a couple of weeks ago and they are awful. So I don't know what to recommend as a CG. You can daytrip from YNP but it's a long -slow- drive both ways. Traffic in YNP is always bad the speed limits are low, people stop in the middle of the road anytime someone spots a chipmunk or something larger, and the Park Service is always repairing some parts of the roads. Always the part that you need to drive over, of course.
