So the way the system works the only guarantee is to go a day early. that is what we were advised to do by the Park Rangers.

Oh, that makes a lot of sense. I mean, the rules are a mess, but within the rules I see it is the only thing you can do.
I hope you don't mind me taking the liberty of putting those phrases in bold. It might fend off some of the attacks. If you object I will change it.
Of course, most people who are going to attack will only read your first post, no followups, before they post.
