First long RV Trip - Where to stop/visit between GA and CO?

My wife and I are making our maiden voyage in our new 5th wheel. Our first destination is Colorado. We are planning to leave Georgia early April. I've played around on google maps with the routes goin...

We go thru atl frequently with our fifth wheel. Stick to the HOV lane is what we do, but yes I do get the white knuckle grip on the wheel. If you somehow go thru Houston, which you shouldn't on the way to CO, do NOT go on their HOV lanes.
