You can pretty much forget the Fla Keys for beaches. Sand has to be hauled in to create a small swimming area. Jetty park is a good choice and there are some in the Sebastian area further south. Walking in the sand of the beach is not a problem... you walk along the area that is wet from the waves if you do not want a good work out.
Instead of staying at the beach and having the salt air infect your rig, stay 10 miles inland and drive to the public beaches with parking.
