Camp Gulf in Destin is one of our favorite places to stay. It is located ON the Gulf of Mexico. There are some concrete/paver sites and some are hard sand. If you have no pets, you can stay in the beach site area. We like the 3rd row back since it is elevated and we can see the beach over the top of RVs in front of us. There are 2 pools, a hot tub, clean laundry room and activities depending the time of year. One of the pools is enclosed during the winter. It is pricey but is the only place in the Destin area we know of that is right on the beach.
