Florida Ocean campground

We are planning a trip to Orlando, to sea world, after that would like to go to a campground on the ocean, within 2-4 hours drive, prefer the gulf side (never been on that side) but Atlantic will work also, Kids would like a pool also at the park.. Thanks... Happy Safe travels

  • There is a beachfront RV park in Fort Myers Beach, Red Coconut. Don't think it has a pool.

I suggest going to either N Florida Atlantic beaches, or Gulf Coast (Panama City to Pensacola) on the way home. From Orlando you otherwise have to go further south into Florida, Tampa and south, to get to beach resort areas on the Gulf Coast, and even then a number of the communities on the barrier islands are developed as residential rather than commercial/tourist.
  • Not many beachfront rv parks in FL with pools. Coral Sands RV Resort in Ormond Beach looks good. Never stayed there. Read reviews on www.rvparkreviews.com under Florida-Ormond Beach.
Some other choices without pools are: Beverly Beach Camptown in Flagler Beach. True beachfront. Anastasia State Park in St Augustine. Jetty Park at Cape Canaveral. Kathryn Hanna park in Atlantic Beach. Fort Clinch State Park, Fernandina Beach. Enjoy your trip!
