We have been pretty fortunate so far. Our first home we bought when we moved back to Az has had the same renters in it for 13 years. Another one we purchased during the crash has been the same person there since. Definitely counting our blessing and know we got VERY lucky. Though, none of them have been " low end " properties, just great deals. Unfortunately, not as good as a winning lottery ticket, but enough to make us comfy for a very early retirement. :-)
Haven't decided anything yet. Just looking for options. We really want to be somewhere like NC or KY with our " exit " plan but the 30-50k in FL kinda peaked our interest.
