Florida State parks reservations

Is there some way to check for sites or availability by length? Is there some listing or some way other than checking each site individually on Reserve America? this takes forever, especially if you are flexible for park, but not date. Like I have discovered I will have the time to head out the last weekend of the month in both June and July, and would like to head to the gulf coast (or very close). I have a 28 ft trailer. I started looking for any park with 3 day availability at that time, then I clicked on St Joe St park, and I saw a list of sites available for July, the first ones I clicked on were all 20 ft max. Is there some way I can look without spending hours that can I find what is available that meets my size?

  • okay... it was the spot with that I was missing... I saw the park with that I could pick amenities, but I guess I was just overlooking the spot with.. I have been camping in FL state parks for 7-8 years, but only in the last 3-4 with TT where size mattered. thanks to all who opened my eyes.. this will make it a lot easier when I get the last minute chance to take a long weekend.
  • Do as remand iris mentioned. Click on "spot with" and it will open more parameters for you including a place for you to put the length you need.
  • yes there is. the way I just did it was picked a State Park,,, any park and go the the reservations page. Yes it will send you to Reserve America while on the state park page. Then I entered a range of dates on the left side. Hang on I know what your thinking thats not what I want. Once the range of dates came up on the left a new link above it in the yellow bar right over the map "find other campgrounds." Now select that link and it will search every campground with the range of dates you entered on the left. It would only allow to search 12 weeks in advance of the start date you entered but I think that will get you going.

    Happy Camping.
  • Reserve America for Florida State Parks. I put in the arrival date and length of stay and it will give size of available sites along with 30 or 50 amp.
  • You must be doing something incorrectly. When I use Reserve America for a Fla State Park, I enter the park name, length needed, electric amp needed, amenities needed, dates, and hit search. Available sites that meet my criteria appear on the right side of the screen. The site list includes the length.

If you eliminate the park name, the results will list all the parks that meet your criteria with available sites. Click on the "Details" tab under the park name and it shows sites including length.
