Florida State Parks
Has anyone seen Florida's new state park web site. I thought the old sight was very easy to use, and go there today and was totally lost. I guess it will take time to get used to this. Its sometimes hard to keep up!!!

Or perhaps clicked on an imposter by mistake? - Just went there. Your right going to be hard to get used to, hard to use and understand. Should have stayed with the old site.

2x- There some minor visual changes but it still works the same, selecting a park or filtering a search is the similar and still non intuitive on which park you are entering, on line store is still pitiful, a total lack of up to date information concerning upgrades to parks. Seems the same to me.
- Part of the trend to make web sites more 'graphic' - which means slower loading times - especially for folks who don't have land-line internet connections.
I do find it odd that when you go to the state parks map - it doesn't show any state parks. captbru wrote:

It is so difficult to find where to make a reservation. Who ever did the redesign failed. And I can't believe that they released the new site with bugs!! Shame on them.
- just checked the site also. agree with above that they took a useful, user friendly site and totally convoluted it. I sometimes wonder if these site designers do it to upset us less tech, "if it isn't broke don't fix it" people!

I don't ever bother with using the state park website to make a reservation.
The SP website is for research. For a reservation I just go directly to Reserve America and set the search for the state and select State for Facility Type.
Since something like 30-35 states use Reserve America - I always check there first.- It's called job security for geeks! Never mind how it effects the users... I'm like someone's said earlier, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
