Florida

If I decide to run to Florida for a week in March, will I have much problem finding a campsite for each night? I'm only in a truck camper so really only need a parking space and don't need any hookups. Mainly prefer national forest and state parks. Can boondock/parking lot if need to, but would prefer campgrounds.

Making reservations is not an option since I have no idea where my wanderings will take me.
  • We prefer state and national parks as well. We've found state park interactive maps very useful for planning trips. Here's the link to the FSP interactive map of their state parks.

We enjoy Anastasia SP near St. Augustine. Thoroughly enjoy St. Augustine historic area and eats.
  • There are a number of campgrounds available in the Ocala National Forest that will fit your needs and we have a great state park system that you should be able to get a few nights in

Finding a night here and there will not be a problem, even in most SP. You can forget boondocking anywhere near Orlando. Elsewhere most Cracker Barrel's allow it.
