We just got back from a nice, rain-soaked weekend at Willow Tree (SC). As always, even though it rained almost the entire time, we had a fun trip. Got to play in the lake a good bit and we played LOTS...

Honestly, I didn't ask. We just realized they hadn't been doing them. I spoke with an older fellow working there who I didn't recognize. He said he didn't know they used to do hay rides either. When I told him about the old Ford tractor they used to pull us, he said they still had the tractor but he hadn't heard about any hay rides. The hay rides used to go along those trails behind the lake and back in the section they used to do the Halloween haunted stuff. But even the section behind the lake has a big "authorized personnel only" sign. Even that's new for this year.
We were inside looking at available hot tub sites for November and the lady said she had one for Halloween weekend. I looked at her strangely because in the past, weekends in October are usually packed and hot tubs are golden because of the Halloween events. That's when she told me the Halloween stuff wasn't happening this year.
We may have to check out Daddy Joe's. I thought about riding by there today on the way home but it was raining so hard, we just kept rolling.
If it was just the wife and I, that would be one thing. But without being on the beach, what they do have at Willow Tree starts to get a little tiresome after a couple of days.
I just feel like someone's trying to give me a hint. :)
