fort bragg, CA campgroun

Can anyone recommend a nice campground in the fort Bragg area? I've read reviews for Caspar Beach campground; some good, some bad. Anybody stayed there. Would like fhu but would do with ew. I have a TT 20ft which extends to 27ft. Recommend other cg.
  • My wife does not want me to tell you this. . . but, go to the Glass Beach Museum at the south end of Fort Bragg. They will tell you where to go to collect beach glass. It is amazing, but you didn't hear it from me.
  • Westport Beach RV Park is about 18 mi north of Ft Bragg on Hwy 1. It is on beach and spaces are about 400 ft from sand and water. Wide spaces and FHU. Hwy 1 is a little narrow in places but go slow and safe. Took our 39' fiver and 100" wide and we had no problems. Good Sam rated 8/8/8.
  • The best campground by far in the Fort Bragg area is Pomo. It's about a mile south of the junction of hwy 20 and hwy 1. Full hookups, wide private sites and close to everything in the area.

We enjoyed Caspar Beach also and as you say it is a 'tight fit' but back in 2011 we had a 25' TT.

Should be nothing but a great time for the OP with their rig.
