We have reservations for December.
The boardwalk from the campground to the beach(inlet) was in need of repair and maybe total replacement. A small inconvenience for the most part. The beach can be accessed from the pier lot located just south of the campground. We have walked or rode our bikes in the past enjoying the dunes and sometimes, abundant wildlife.
Google earth the State Park and zero in on the beach loop. You can see, the boardwalk actually dumps you on the inlet to the St Marys River and shipping channel and not the Atlantic Ocean.
