Fort DeSoto (Florida) still closed
Saw this today 9/15 on a Facebook post by Friends of Fort DeSoto Park (base of St. Petersburg's Peninsula) from info provided by the park staff:
"UPDATE on Fort DeSoto Park condition! There is still no power to the park. All power poles are still down and lines are all over the road way including many large trees blocking the roads. Only this morning, did some large equipment arrive to help with wood chipping and tree removal. The park still requires many days of clean up and restoration. OPENING HAS BEEN PUSHED BACK TO MAYBE EARLY NEXT WEEK."
