Fort Ebey State Park WA - should I take our bikes?

I'm pondering if I should take our bikes to Fort Ebey this weekend. It's a lot more work to do it, but the beach seems to be far away from the campground. Any suggestions from those that have been there already?

  • Yeah, I love the parks around there (especially Deception Pass) so my expectations are high. I'll leave the bikes home this time. Thanks!

(although I would not recommend Bay View State Park - they should change the name to Mud Bay state Park).
  • Lots of off road trail biking on a maze of trails back in the bluff. None go to the beach. The one paved road into and out of the SP is paved and steep. The main attraction of Ft Ebey in my book is the edge-of-the-bluff walking trail with its awesome panoramic view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Olympic Peninsula, and Vancouver Island. Probably my favorite views in the entire NW. Just can't beat it. Although not as famous as Deception Pass SP, I actually like Ft. Ebey SP better.
