My experience has been that if you let the park know a bit before your arrival what size rig you have - the park will try to make sure smaller rigs don't take all the spots which will hold your rig.
I've been told more than once, that I can't use a specific spot because 'someone with a longer trailer is coming in a couple days'.
I've even seen a site marked as occupied when there was no rig in the spot - for the same reason.
