Fresh Shrimp in the RGV
Looking for a source of fresh shrimp in the Alamo, McAllen area. Could visit Port Isabel if necessary of course. The grill is hot.

I'm old enough to remember getting fresh shrimp off the boat back in the 60s in south Louisiana and Alabama.
I'm also old enough to remember in the late 90s in south Louisiana - and fresh shrimp off the boat was no longer available. Only frozen.
As mentioned above the economics of shrimp fishing have changed - and 'fresh off the boat' just ain't available from commercial fishermen any longer.
