Fruit and California border??
We are moving back and forth from Arizon to California this winter and friend let us pick organges off their tree in Mesa. Will they take them away from us when going into Cal? How strict r they?

Brings back memories of years ago, 1972 to be exact. I was stopped at an agricultural checkpoint somewhere in the West, don't remember the state. May have been Arizona, not sure but know it wasn't California.
They were checking for certain live plants. Asked me to open the trunk of my car. Sure, I had nothing to hide. But the trunk was half full of weapons, several shotguns, four center fire rifles and two rimfire rifles. Well the Ag agents never said a word or asked any questions. All they were looking for were live plants of some kind. They thanked me and sent me on my way.
Wondering what would happen in this day and age? Get surrounded by a swat team? :E
