Frustrating Time of Year
So, this is the first year that we have been RVing, and this time of year is definitely frustrating. We live in Georgia, and of course, Florida, where the weather is nice is pretty much all booked up...

I'm Georgia (Atlanta area) and camp all year, weekend trips around work.
Florida - and the nicer options down there, stay booked through the winter. Sometimes checking for cancellations works.
Good Winter options:
Savannah - Skidaway Island Nice campground, interesting city to visit.
Stone Mountain in Atlanta (if you have not tried it), nice park, with activities. Full hookups, with winter, can keep camper nice and toasty and then be active during the day.
Won't be long - weather will start to warm up, then Mountains will be more enjoyable... North GA Mtns, Smokey Mtns, Asheville, Chattanooga,......
