- DinTulsaExplorerWe stayed at Jellystone outside of GB, we really enjoyed the park.
- bigbro36ExplorerWe stayed at camp rivers landing in early may. We were right on the creek with the soothing sounds, close to attractions but off the main road so it was fairly quiet. Trolley comes through the park about every twenty minutes. New bath house but we did not use it. The staff was helpful and I would stay there again.
- CampincartersExplorerwe stayed at Twin Creek RV Resort in Gatlinburg. Enjoyed it very much.

X2! The Jellystone in G-burg (Cosby TN) is great. Mostly All sites on a creek flowing out of the NP. The campground backs to the NP and there is plenty of good hiking from there. - kellertx5erExplorer

We really liked Smoky Bear Campground, immaculately clean, excellent staff, away from the craziness that is Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, about 20 minutes east of Gatlinburg, 10 minutes east of a full service grocery store, and a hot tub!
Unless you have kids, I personally would stay away from Pigeon Forge.
A BIG x10! - ken56ExplorerThere are so many choices in the area its mind numbing so you should be able to find something to suit your needs. Reasonably priced is subjective though, Look at RVparkreviews.com for a good comparison and reviews on the parks in the area. Look in the Cosby area too if you want more peace and quiet. If you want in the immediate area and on the trolley route then expect to pay top dollar.
- VeebyesExplorer IIRiver Plantaion. Far enough from the noise but close enough if that is what you want.
- CampinghossExplorer IIWe always stay at Anchor Down Resort in Dandridge Tn. I think it is about a 20 mile drive to Pigeon Forge. You can cut thru on the Douglas Dam Road and save time and miles. Everyone will have their reasons. Ours is being in a quiet cg more in the center of where we want to visit. Anchor Down is on Douglas Lake and has a small beach, nice pool and it all paved. Our favorite by far.

X3. We've stayed there once and really enjoyed it. HOWEVER, it's no longer part of the Jellystone franchise. It is now called 'Imagination Mountain'. Here's the link. - dodge_guyExplorer II

Good to know! I`m surprised the owner really went out of his way to make the franchise one of the best. any idea if the same guy still owns it? he was a retired cop from California.
