Getting a premium site at Pismo Coast Village

Every time we've been to PCV, we end up in a very narrow site. I can barely get the rig into it. Meanwhile, there are nice wide sites sitting empty the whole week. So how does the general public (I'm not a PCV shareholder) reserve a premium site? I've asked this question when making reservations in the past and they just sort of danced around that topic.
  • Share holders don't own specific sites ^^^.

Share holders do have priority, however they can't make reservations 7 months in advance like the public. Only a percentage, 60% I believe, of sites are reserved for the public and those are the least desirable sites on the south side of the resort. Now, after you have been going there for several years you'll get to know some folks and often that will get you a better site, but you won't know till you get there. As a non-share holder you cannot expect a "luxury site" during the summer or holidays, there are just way to many share holders.

Lastly, even the worse sites at PCV are a whole lot better than a lot a other CG in the area (Across the street).
  • PCV is hit and miss on getting a premium site. Some of the members do not want their sites rented out, so they sit vacant. You have to hope they put their site on the list to be rented out and you can grab it.
  • I'm surprised you could even get a site. We have tried many times over the last couple of years and there has never been anything avalable for our size. It is a lovely park but it is also a shareholders park, they get first choice, and reservations can be made years in advance. It is a problem.
