Gilbert, AZ

Looks like I'm going to work in Gilbert, AZ for a few months. Any good campgrounds in the area. Work will be covering the expense, so living with the rich folks would work!

Thanks,
John
  • April is when most snowbirders leave the area as it get VERY hot. Parks will have lots of places to stay. They are open year round down there. Tons of parks in Mesa and AJ as noted already here. Maybe you can rent an owned space that has a roof over it to try and keep cooler? Good luck!
  • We'll be there in late April next year. Is that when the parks start to open up and some go back north? We're looking at Mesa/Apache Junction KOA for a week to visit my son in Gilbert.
  • You'll want to look in Apache Junction or Gold Canyon. First, there are nice parks; second, close by, and third, this time of year it's empty. If you check rvparkreviews.com you'll find places with amenities which suit you. In Gold Canyon there's a nice Gold Resort, right off the 60. Enjoy your stay, it's a great place.
  • As stated, there are lots of RV parks in the Mesa, Apache Junction & Gold Canyon area. This time of year you shouldn't have a problem getting a site. It's going to get very hot soon, so I hope your AC is in good working order. If you like BBQ, Joe's Real BBQ in Gilbert is one of the best in the Phoenix area.
