You might try carrying your thought to the logical end. We only have good weather data back to the late 1800's for temperature and to the 1970's for hurricanes and other extreme weather like tornadoes. But that doesn't stop your coreligionists from making wild predictions about those. And how far back does the ice extent data from the poles go, not very far. Essentially a lot of this data starts with the weather satellite era---1970's.
And these predictions are based on computer models not real data and the models predictive powers is awful. Your people also refuse to release the data that they claim to use for these models and they refuse to debate scientists with opposing views. If their proof is so strong why not show the world what it is based on, and why not demolish the opposition with your strong and brilliant arguments? Makes the rationalists wonder you know, when you pull stuff like this. Like you are hiding the truth.
