Given the seeming upswing in lawlessness, slaps on the wrist aren't cutting it. Serious and stricter sentencing for barbarians might do the trick. If nothing else, it will keep the neanderthals off the streets of the civilized for a time.
I hope they also cut that fat guy's disability payments. If he can push a boulder, there are plenty of boulder-pushing-like jobs that he can do.
