On one hand, the "group" made reservations (under one name for the group?), took possession of the block of sites, paid for it all, and had it for the duration of their stay.
Who would want to break up and camp in the middle of a family camping trip?
On the other hand, we usually avoid places that don't allow you to reserve a site. If we are travelling a good distance and planning to spend a chunk of time there, we want to be *certain* we have a nice site before we go there.
Our trip to Kentucky went that way. We didn't stay at the state park because they didn't have reservations and not all sites had electricity.
