If someone asked the question and I missed it I apologize, but I did not see anywhere anywhere in the state when those eight people arrived.
I routinely travel to airshows and large groups of us stay at parks nearby, during that time several people will leave the park and do out trips for a day or two. On one of those occasions someone arrived at the park and decided they wanted one of those ‘vacant’ spots and moved onto it. We were all away at the airfield. When we arrived back at the park we got there in time to break up a very loud nose to nose argument between the person who had been on that site for three days and then left for one and the person who decided that it was first come first serve that was the site they wanted.
It took a little diplomacy and some cooler heads to explain, even show the person some pictures of them on the site, and a park staffer to assure the person that the first people had indeed been ‘on’ the site.
As someone who never travels with a toad and therefore needs to take the motorhome into town for supplies or whatever, I too have had a couple of instances of people thinking they were taking a squatted on site.
There’s always at least 2 sides to every story.
