Im with Lantley on this. Most Ga parks are apparently like Va. Non site specific and you pick a vacant site when you come in. I wouldn't be happy if two of the better sites were left unfilled overnight and I had to take a lesser site, even though I was there before the other members of their party.

Exactly how I feel. I forgot GA had a similar system.
I stayed at Skidaway State Park in GA and their system is also non site specific like VA's.
For the record both sites were occupied at some point Saturday afternoon.
Based on the name tags it appeared. One site was occupied by a camper with the group and the other site was occupied by an incoming camper who did not know the drama associated with the site.
Ironically no one really knows the drama associated with the sites.
I did discuss the matter with the camp host, but otherwise I went about my business. My discussion with the host was calm. It occurred after I had set up in my site.
Once I was set up in my site there was no point in causing commotion since I had no desire to move again as I was squeezed in and set up.
My reasoning for pursuing the matter and ranting is I want to know the official policy for future trips. Should I find myself in the same predicament in the future I will be better informed/prepared.
