That would mean you would miss some very nice campgrounds. I haven't stayed in any of the VA state parks, but GA has some very nice ones - FDR State Park near Warm Springs and Skidaway Island State Park near Savannah come to mind.
Exactly VA has a few very nice Parks as well.
I don't like Westmoreland's group site policy however, I never experienced any hardship do to the policy until this weekend.
Now that I know the realities of the policy I will plan accordingly.
Va has too many great parks to ignore/boycott/avoid.
Hopefully they will re-evaluate their policy and make changes to improve the reservation system.
