Thanks for the continued suggestions. There have been some things mentioned that I hadn't thought of such as heading north to Utah after a stop at GC, or a stop at some places in Colorado. I will add that we were in Colorado four years ago before our son was born. We took the girls to Durango/Silverton/Ouray and did a rafting trip, horseback riding and jeeping so we've done that and plan to do it again when our son is older.
Also I absolutely plan to spend some travel nights in motels, especially if we head to Yellowstone. No way are we going to set up and take down a tent each night. We would camp inside the parks but not on the way.
Two questions - 1. How long of a drive is it from the south rim of GC to any of the Utah parks and which Utah parks would you recommend. 2. Beartooth Highway....how long of a drive is it if we were to leave Yellowstone that way?
