We stay here for a couple of weeks every July. It will be cool! The CG is right on the lake with a variety of ways to enjoy the lake. There is a pebble beach, a picnic and boat launch area on the harbor, and a staircase that leads to a beautiful perch atop the rocky outcrops. Short hikes available at the CG (there is a lookout point only a short hike up the hill from the CG) include nearby Cascade River SP (which has electric sites now), CR Magney and Grand Portage SP (no camping). Be sure to do all 3, very short scenic hikes. The CG is older but has good sites many with full HU. Staff are friendly. Be sure to eat at the Dockside, my favorite spot for fish and chips in GM. Angry Trout also VG. Have a great time!I recommend brunch (Sunday) at nearby Naniboujou - it is expensive but VG.
