I really don't think you'd have trouble getting a site at Colter Bay or Gros Ventre campgrounds in Teton Nat'l Park. No, they don't accept reservations but each has 300 sites and the many times we've been there (with a 40' motorhome), they don't fill. We prefer Gros Ventre but if you're driving through the south exit of Yellowstone into the Tetons, your first stop would be Colter Bay so try that one first.
Try to stop in the morning as folks are leaving. Also, Colter Bay campground is right next to the RV park so you could check at the RV park and perhaps you'll snag a cancellation.
