You shouldn't have any trouble getting a sit at a "walk up" at the Colter Bay CG or the Gros Ventre Campg'd. We have only stayed at Colter Bay one. Not RV park side.
I have heard good things about Gros Ventre Campground...get more animals walking by or close by, etc. Nice views. Doesn't fill up most nights, as well.
