Planning to stay at Grand Teton Park, Moran, WY, any advice on this park (easy road access, park reality, etc...) Thanks

I used Colter Bay Campground ,hookups,location -just great place-Enjoy and do reserve .

X2 for Colter Bay. Not only do they have full hook ups but a nice grocery store and restaurant. We stayed there for two weekslast year

Colter Bay CG and Colter Bay RV park are next to each other. The RV park has hookups. There are several more dry CGs in the park. Once you get parked, there's a couple of drives you should take in your TV only. But you have to promise not to tell anybody. Its a secret. :)Drive to the top of Signal Mountain. You can see for miles. Last time I was up there, I watched a hot air balloon go by and I was looking down on it. And, as you drive along Jenny Lake Rd, there's a turnout to the Jenny Lake shore. Maybe parking for 3 or 4 cars. Walk over to the shore, sit on a rock and just stare. Your Blood Pressure will drop about 20 points.

Can't go wrong camping in Grand Teton at Colter Bay. Both dry and FHU campgrounds. Dry will cost about $11-$12 with the senior pass while the FHU will be over $50 per night. While there take a cruise on Jackson Lake and see some of the prettiest scenery in the world and you are sitting right in the middle of it. They also offer, I believe, evening dinner cruises with dinner on an island shore looking right at Mt. Moran rising over 5,000 feet straight out of the lake, almost. Take early morning or evening drives to see wildlife, bears, eld, deer, foxes, etc. We usually make it up there at least two and sometime three times a summer just to go up there, fish, sightsee and relax from our busy retired life here three hours from Grand Teton. I have pictures if you want to see some.

Sorry, I probably shouldn't have mentioned my distaste for ATVs. I'm sure they're fun, and they don't usually bother me. I was on a deserted logging road last year taking a picture of a moose. All of a sudden a pack of ATVs came roaring down the road at about 50 mph. Needless to say, that moose high-tailed it back into the cover of the forest. I just wish they'd make them quieter; then I wouldn't mind them at all.

kfp, whether you like ATV riding or not, I don't think it's legal within Grand Teton or Yellowstone National Parks. There are a lot of trails outside the Parks, but basically foot trails within them. Sorry you got your feelings hurt, but the OP wasn't asking about trail riding. Why not start up another thread asking about trail riding?
