Many Glacier, in Glacier NP. Camping in the heart of Glacier, streams, lakes, mountains so close you can reach out and touch them.
Any campground in Denali NP. For that matter, any primitive campground in Alaska.
Tie Flume NF campground, Wyoming, in the bighorn mtns. Granite outcroppings, forest, stream, just beautiful.
Horsethief Lake NF campground, literally next to Rushmore. Not to be confused with the commercial Horse Thief campground. Very scenic, on a lake, Rushmore is hike able. If you can get in, and do without hookups, stay here.
Actually, there is a glacier in the Ruby Mountains in Nevada. Great campground there called Thomas Canyon. Clean vault toilets, rushing streams, water, garbage, pull throughs or double sites, fabulous views, awesome hosts
