In the same vein, folks in truck campers sometimes smile when I describe my so-called "adventures" -- we take our trailer (slowly) on dirt roads, while truck campers climb rocky cliffs. So I can't judge what other people do.
And there are others, backpackers, who would smile while the truck camper describes their adventure too. You make a valid point about not judging people for what they do. :)

D .E. Bishop. I am going to take a guess on the campground you were not willing to give us the name. I would say I am almost 99.9 percent sure is Jalama Beach. Away from the 101 fwy, winding road, no longer a walk in campground, now is on reservations by the county of Santa Barbara.I think I hit the nail on the head
That is exactly where I thought as well and feel it has to be Jalama. Shhh, don't tell the surfers too...can I interest anyone in a delicious burger and beer? :)
