Green Bay Packers

We are going out to the mid-west to pickup our new AF990 and would like to catch a GB Packers game. Has anyone done this while RVing, where did you stay and how did you get to and from the game since Lambau Field doesn't allow RV parking?
  • There will still be an issue looking for RV parking on game day. For the most part, the games I've been to (never with the RV), the RV lot has been jam packed all weekend. Many even get there on Thursday night for a Sunday game. Hoping for an RV spot just for game day might be next to impossible.
  • I just stumbled on this thread and wanted to report a couple things.

Yes, there is RV parking at Lambeau VERY near the stadium itself. Its cheap too, but you have to get there at least the day before the game. You wont likely find a spot on game day.

You do need to be willing to stay with your RV or leave it there, but they dont charge you for anything until game day.

Two, this location has BIG approved plans. 2016 could very well be the last days of RV parking anywhere near the stadium. It's an awesome experience, so if you have been thinking about it...DO IT IN 2016!

  • There is camping near Green Bay at Apple Creek Campground They can arrange shuttle service to Lambeau Field. Without your own transportation this is probably your best choice.
  • We've stayed at the Brown County Fairgrounds in DePere which is about 5 min. from Lambeau.

    Water/Elec and a dump station.

Our 1st choice in the GB area and would stay there again.

  • My understanding is that, to get Packer season tickets, someone has to die. Literally. There will almost always be scalper tickets available (and I count those by ticket brokers in that category, in a sense) and because of supply & demand, they will be expensive. Priciest will be the ones with big rivalries (Chicago Bears, for example) or toward the end of the season, especially if the Pack are doing well. Good luck!

Incidentally, there are some really gorgeous state parks in Door County, a bit to the northeast of Green Bay, and another to the east: Peninsula SP, Potawatomie SP and (one of our most favorite ones), Point Beach State Forest. All have electric hookups & dump stations, and some lovely wooded campsites. The reservation website gives campsite dimensions & utilities. All are popular, and may be booked up already for Packers home game times - but it's worth looking into. (They are reservable 11 months in advance.) Probably an hour or less drive to Green Bay. If you decide on Point Beach, note that I don't recommend the (very few) water-electric sites. If you camp in that park, you'll see why. :)
