Grindstone CG in Va
Heading to Grindstone next spring, anyone know if there is firewood sold locally outside the park ? Hopefully at a reasonable price.

We plan on being in that area, from Fairy Stone SP, then touring Mt Airy and heading to Natural Tunnel SP. Is Grindstone a worthwhile stop for a night or a couple of days?- Their's miles and miles of hiking trails,the appalachian trail is near by along with mount rodgers virginia highest mountain,you can rent a bike and ride the creeper trail.graysonhighlands state park is also near by. I think they close for the winter November 30th.

We take a chain saw and collect dead and down within the forest.
