My winter stomping grounds are from roughly Corpus Cristi to Savannah.
My favorites in that general area are...
Magnolia Branch Wildlife Reserve, Atmore, AL
It belongs to the Creek Indians. No ocean but a creek and a lake with tubing and zip lining. They have some huge, FHU, lakefront sites.
Buccaneer State Park, Waveland, MS
Not on the beach but within a long walk or a short drive of it. They have an amazing water park with slides and a wave pool. Katrina wiped it out so everything is new since then.
They both have monthly off season rates but the water attractions are closed. I spend a month or so at both most Winters.
