I'm thinking about people that read through this topic that maybe interested in purchasing an rv lot. What is an adequate rv lot for one person would not even be considered by someone else. Some people have bigger budgets for snow birding than others. I think there are folks who are discouraged about snow birding if the prices listed are beyond what they are comfortable with.
One of the biggest factor affecting RV folks is the price of fuel to get to and fro. In many cases the 55+ crowd has elected to park their RV on a lot and leave it there. Now I am seeing those folks trading from an RV to a Park Model. Yet there remains a need for a market where folks can still use their RV to spend winter in warmer places.
Finding a park where you are comfortable with other members, gives you the option of ownership, and fits in your budget can be daunting. Going back to the original question, have prices come down? . If you ask me they have gone down in many of the parks in the RGV. If the demand comes back they will rise, unfortunately economic factors are keeping people home.
