Head for the boonies -- meteor shower Sunday nite . . .

Great meteor shower -- no moon -- colorful meteors.

But I can't go -- there is nowhere to camp in Calif due to Covid closures.

I'll have to wait for another year. Oh, well. Can't really whine about this when so many other folks have it so much rougher than I do.
  • I was boondocking in anza borrego last weekend. The ranger drove up and glanced at my campsite on his way by. That was the extent of his interaction.
  • I live in suburban SoCal -- there are about ten stars in the sky on a good night.

And flyboy, even boondocking is a no go in the national forests.

2020 is just not my year. Next year is going to be better, I think!!
  • Just watched the space station go by. I think I will be able to see them and the satellites going by.
  • Do you have a lot of light pollution at your house? I have minimal so I’ll be watching. It is cold outside so I’ll see how long I can last.
  • Day of the Triffids? Maybe it's good you can't go. :C
  • Yes, the Governor has shutdown camping. The Inyo National Forest is cooperating too.
