tomorrow we leave for Yuma. we have been packing every day for a week. little at a time packing that is. I just feel I have forgotten something. they tell me if you forget something just buy it in Yuma. I swear I have half my house in the TT already
. but it seems like a big burden to hook up in the morning or this afternoon and be heading south. we will miss our family for sure. calling on the sell phone isn't the same. I don't know if I'm excited or sad. this is our first snow bird trip with a TT. DW just retired last Sept and we have been waiting out the birth of our new grandson. so many things to think and worry about, esp the weather. How do you all hold up to the pressure?
My first time all it took for me to get over the "do I really want to do this?".....
was one giant snowstorm and 2 days later getting hit with the second one. After that I was on the road heading south as soon as the snowplows had cleared a path big enough for me and the MH.:C
You will find out after one trip that
you will use and/or need only 10%
of the "stuff" you brought with!
Next time down you can count on getting gas mileage because you won't be weighed down with all that "stuff" you don't need! :B
On the serious side I would 'most definitely' weigh your trailer before you leave. You will be very surprised just how much all your 'snowbird stuff" vs 'weekend camping stuff" weighs and you can be over the CCC in a heart beat making for a not so fun drive down pulling it.
