- RandACampinExplorer IIThere is no "good time" to go through Atlanta as some posters would have you believe. I have been stuck in traffic at all times even 2 am. I have breezed through at rush hour. It is a total **** shoot.
If you leave Calhoun at 0500 you will be in Atlanta at 0600-0630. Should be as good a time as any. If you don't want to go straight through on 75 take the 285 bypass to 675 to 75. even the bypass is no guarantee.
I was in Atlanta last week and I can tell you the poster who said 1000 is wrong. The traffic at the I 20 and I 85 interchanges was terrible. - Vulcan_RiderExplorer

Maybe but there's no guarantee. Traffic starts stacking up from Marietta on in about 6 AM most days. - Vulcan_RiderExplorer

If you are traveling south and staying north of Atlanta make sure and time your departure accordingly the next morning. You do not want to sit in the traffic going through town, I'd try and shoot for after 10AM to be going through town.
Yes that applies to going the OTHER way too.
When travelling through ANY big city, it is always best to stay on the FAR side of town for a quick get-away the next morning. - lefty6262ExplorerIf I left Calhoun at 5:00 AM Would I get thru Atlanta OK?

- accsysExplorerHarvest Moon RV Park , right off I-75 at Adairsville, GA with big long pull-throughs and 50 amp FHU.
- Dance_ChickExplorerx2 for the Cartersville/Cass-ville-White KOA. Stayed there for a 1 night in July. Nice place and easy.
- KenMastExplorerFor just an overnight, Cartersville / Cassville-White KOA worked out great for us. Easy off I-75.
- Ramp_DiggerExplorerNot sure if they are still there but there was a KOA campground just off I 75 at exit 315 red bud rd.Near Calhoun You can check their web site.Never stayed there though.
