Hemet. Golden Village Palms

Hi,
This park has a special of stay 4 months and only pay for 3 months. We are thinking of taking advantage of this special for this winter. We have not stayed here before and wonder if its worth staying there for 4 months. Weather, things to do, etc. Been to the web site, park looks pretty nice. I have checked RV reviews, very mixed.. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Cheers.

Thanks for the replies. Kind of surprised all have some sort of negative response. I think there are over 1000 sites there. Someone must like it there. However, we will not take advantage of the pay for 3 and stay for 4 special. We may well stop in for a month, sometime this winter. We are trying to find cheaper parks as our wonderful $$ is dropping and financial types suggest it may drop to 70cents by winter.
    Cheers
We will probably stick close to home because of this.

  • They warned us about bikes being stolen even if locked. Had power problems for two of the 5 days we were there. Not hurrying back. Chris
  • Stayed over a month. Great park in a lot of ways. If you stay over a few weeks you get a back in. They are fine unless you have a larger (35' or longer) rig. The sites are wide but short. Big rigs need to back into the hedge and the front may protrude into the road. Pull thrus are long (but barren of trees or grass) but cannot be rented long term.
  • Stayed there for 2 weeks couple of years ago. I read about clickish in reviews but ignored that. Very clickish crowd. Just strange the way they run their parties. That wasn't a big problem. The big complaint was we were inundated with ants. Thousands of ants. When you check in they tell you about ant problems. Ants were taking over our MH. We sprayed and sprayed. Office sent guy over and he sprayed. Glad it was only 2 weeks. Wi-Fi terrible. Hemet is an OK town. Park has good security. However, we never wandered around outside the park at night. We lived in CA for years. Hemet is OK but would never live there.

We did not go back last year and doubt we will ever go back. We stayed at the Pehchanga RV park in Temecula. Much nicer town and very nice clean park. Also closer to shopping and restaurants. Casino on the property but we didn't go to the casino. Concrete pads and grass. We prefer Pehchanga.
